Saturdaysyh Love is back for its second year in the cosy confines of the East Dulwich Tavern for a festive celebration of local designer-makers.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

We have new vendors, an additional organiser and plans to expand future events in and around East Dulwich. We are excited to be building on the success of last years Christmas Sale and look forward to sharing a great day out with the people of East Dulwich and beyond!

Last year saw a fantastic turnout for the event which coincided with the beginning of Christmas tree buying, making it the perfect opportunity for many to pop past the EDT and find one-off decorations while enjoying a mulled wine! Feed back from visitors and vendors was vital in organising this years MWL, so with this in mind we have developed our approach as organisers.

One of the main points that came from last years sale was how important it is to the residents of East Dulwich and surrounding areas to shop locally and support small businesses. Our designers are all independents building up their businesses on a basis of small batch production and one-off pieces. We placed a call for entries on local forums and craft organisations which has ensured we keep the event a local one.

Tundra model detail 9MWL was established last year by Madeline Tanoto and Awon Golding in a bid to reach the public with their high quality unique products. This year they are joined by Ellen Monaghan, a bespoke Goldsmith with a background in high end retail and exhibitions.

Rosie Brewer Wooden BoardsWith Awon fielding orders for her growing millinery brand, Ellen and Madeline have taken the reigns this year, but all three have plans to expand MWL next year. These include moving around different venues in South London with an evolving group of makers.

Any suggestions for venues are very welcome, we are an open minded bunch and keen to try a variety of places!

Jill Green Leather goods and Prints Green RabbitOn Saturday 7th December you will find at our beloved EDT a refined selection of makers.  These will include Mims Heritage childrenswear, Tundra for innovative bags and accessories and Alys Jenkins’ ethereal glass vessels. We welcome for the first time Ratanji Rani who specialises in natural beauty and paper products, and Jill Green with her signature bold printed leather goods and cards.

Ratanji Rani Gift TagsEllen will be presenting a new collection of silver tie clips and bookmarks amongst her usual jewellery collections while Knots and Folds will be filling our eyes with her colourful hand printed ties and handkerchiefs! Rosie Brewer is introducing us to her hand-carved wooden boards and we are exited by the addition of Joanne Truby Floral Designs with her elegant wreaths and table decorations, perfect for that festive feel!

There really is something for everyone and we are privileged to be able to return and share our work with the East Dulwich community. As a growing team of makers we hope to bring a fun-filled day of festive cheer to one of our favourite high streets and pubs!

Saturday 7th December – 12pm – 5pm
