An Aladdin’s cave on North Cross Road

One Friday morning, I went down to North Cross Road and discovered something new…

I was on the corner of Fellbrigg Road, just off North Cross Road, and I saw a sign directing me to a Vintage Store.

The outside of the store looked like this:

The store, North Cross Vintage Store is a hidden gem, which has an amazing range of vintage furniture and homeware.

You’ll also find a car parked outside the store (the owners I’m assuming?) with a happy British sheep model on the roof!

Inside the store there were lots of quirky vintagy things for sale, from postcards to second-hand coffee grinders, old telephones, tea sets, cocktail and champagne glasses, signs, sugar tins, books, old toys and more.

One of my favourite items were the old ladybird books – it triggered some lovely childhood memories.

There were also some unique stuff for sale, from deer wall hooks to old hats. I quite liked the mannequin wearing an array of vintage brooches, whilst donning a graduation cap.

Even though I took a quick browse around the store, I can’t wait to visit the Vintage Store again. Prices vary from £ to ££.
